I started this painting 27th september 2008.

I took a photograph of my grandson Iain playing in the sea and have been wanting to capture it's joy and beauty in paint ever since.

As an artist I know I could have and probably should have, stopped at stage two! But we never do, do we!! So I will persevere and see if I can capture the magic again by the time I complete the whole painting.

It is oil on canvas, and is one metre square.
